SL-TERMICO OILS, are premium quality heat transfer oils for use in enclosed systems. They may also be used for open systems at high temperatures. The maximum bulk operating temperature for close system is 300°C for SL- Termico Oil.

Product Description
SL-TERMICO OILS, are blended from high quality base stocks possessing high thermal stability and resistance to oxidation. These oils resist evaporation at high temperatures and possess high viscosity index so that any appreciable change in viscosity does not affect heat transfer efficiency of the oils.

Performance Characteristics
In an enclosed system oxidation by air is minimized. However, effective measures must be taken to exclude air from the system by inert gas blanketing. Although these products have good oxidation stability, the working life depends upon the extent to which air is excluded from the system. In an open system mineral oil oxides-rapidly at temperatures beyond 100°C. Therefore reduced service life must be expected for these oils at high temperatures in open system. Areas where local temperature is too high canaled to oil being thermally decomposed, resulting in carbon formation which, in turn impairs heat conduction.
Electrical heaters should not exceed 10 watt/sq. In. Off heater surface in contact with oil. Water jacketed Heaters are considered.
