Market Applications
SL-EP range of multi-purpose gear oils are suitable for a large number of applications including lubrication of automotive gearboxes and hypoid final drive units. Three viscosity grades viz. SAE- 80, 90 and 140 cover a wide variety of climatic and operating conditions and should be chosen for use in accordance with the vehicle manufacture’s recommendation.

Product Description
SL-EP Gear Oils are range of extreme pressure gear lubricants, which contain anti-oxidant, anti-corrosion and anti-foam additives to protect against oil oxidation, gear tooth corrosion and reduced tendency to foam. SL- EP Gear Oils also incorporate a special extreme pressure additive to protect gear teeth under high temperature loads and sliding speeds encountered in hypoid final drive units.
Performance Characteristics
SL-EP Gear oils offer maximum protection against wear through surface active extreme pressure additives which chemically form a low friction film on the surface of gear teeth at high temperatures generated by meshing of hypoid or
heavily loaded helical or spur gears. Effective corrosion inhibitors neutralize any acids resulting from contamination of the lubricant by moisture.
